Claim Di: completely reinventing the auto insurance process
Claim Di, one of the brightest participants from Thailand’s Dtac Accelerate program, is a mobile application that facilitates all communication and claims between drivers and their insurance companies. With the app, drivers can communicate directly with their insurance company and complete their own transactions by simply taking pictures and uploading them to the insurance company. In case of a minor accident the driver can even simply shake his phone near the phone of the other party involved who also uses Claim Di. The insurance companies of both sides will issue claim reports via Claim Di platform. No more endless waiting for a surveyor from both insurance companies to arrive at the scene. This dramatically shortens the time to make a claim, saves on insurers’ claim costs, eliminates manual claim adjustors and reduces the incidence of claims fraud.
Significant lower cost per claim
Claim Di helps shorten the auto insurance claim process, including investigation, fault or no-fault claims, and accident reporting. And Claim Di enables insurers to cut their operating costs because car owners could instantly make a claim via the application. Thailand has 15 million cars, of which 8 million have voluntary insurance. These 8 million cars together involve some 14 million claims transactions a year. The cost for an insurance company to send an agent to the scene of an accident in order for a claim to be made is Bt 550 per time in Bangkok, and Bt 1,100 outside the capital. Claim Di enabled insurers to cut their operating costs because car owners could make a claim themselves instantly via the application. In fact, the cost per claim is lowered to just Bt 50 per transaction when they do not have to dispatch an agent to the scene. Claim Di charges the insurers while drivers can use use the app for free.

Who is Claim Di
In 2000 Kittinan Anuphan founded Arunsawad.com, providing enterprise mobility solutions for insurance and healthcare. In 2011 he established Anywhere2go with the aim to empower people and society with the novel applications of mobile technology. Claim Di and ilertu are applications helping parties involving in dealing with emergency to handle the situations more effectively. Ilertu is the mobile solution for health insurance and also very successful. The company is backed by CyberAgent Ventures, Golden Gate Ventures, 500 Startups and dtac Accelerate.
