SkenData: Digital portfolio & building valuation made easy
SkenData pushes building valuation into a new level: simple, easy, fast & digital. Their software solutions Wert14 & SkenData Portfolio are online building valuation tools that allow the user to manage the building valuation digitally. Today, most brokers and underwriters use offline documents or company-specific working methods to calculate the sum insured for each insured building. The analog building valuation process, as currently implemented by most clients, can be lengthy, expensive, and it makes the insurance brokers’ daily work more difficult. Often, additional on-site inspections by the broker or even an additional appraiser are necessary to determine the insurance value. This takes a long time and involves additional costs, which in turn have to be passed on to the policyholder.
With SkenData’s tools, they are able to perform their building valuations completely digitally and have certain values output automatically (including roof extension, number of stories, insured living space, presence of photovoltaic system and many more). Through the use of AI and Big Data, SkenData is able to provide these values already pre-assigned, which the user then only has to check for plausibility. With SkenData Portfolio the valuation of entire residential and building complexes is possible with address accurancy.
Why is SkenData unique?
SkenData’s technologies and algorithms enable permanent access to the building valuations and offer 24/7 processing. Its’ use of AI, Big Data and image recognition enables SkenData to automatically identify numerous building details. With the SkenData Portfolio, entire building insurance portfolios can be checked in parallel for potentials and risks. All you need to do is upload an Excel file – the uploaded addresses are already clearly prepared.
- Improvement of the evidence situation
- Improved communication with customers and partners based on the images
- Acceleration of data acquisition
In SkenData Portfolio, a ChangeMap can be created to visually illustrate on a map view in which areas something has changed. The insured building of the user are displayed in parallel, so that the user can directly see whether one of his buildings is located in the changed area. The user can get in contact directly with his customer and talk about the changes.
Finally, by uploading a list of addresses to the SkenData Portfolio, entire residential or building complexes can be evaluated in parallel. The addresses of buildings to be valued is sufficient to have the current building insurance value output. Only the expansion and equipment features have to be checked for plausibility or adjusted if necessary. Building dimensions such as enclosed space, insured living space and residential units are already stored in the valuation.
As a result, the clearly structured BuildingReport contains a list of all buildings, including building features, a building avatar, property map as well as an aerial photograph. The Buildingreport offers all parties more objectively, transparency and accuracy. For the insurance broker, the use of SkenDatas’ solution results in an optimized and efficient valuation process with convenient handling.
Soon SkenData is adding further innovations to its product range. Sustainability is a big issue and concerns all. For this reason, in the future SkenData will be able to evaluate the energy efficiency class and CO2 equivalent of the buildings under consideration, in addition to the building insurance values and risk factors. Thus, thier customers are prepared for the future by using the modern SkenData technologies.
How it works
In SkenData Portfolio, all uploaded addresses are clearly summarized in a list view; including the current insurance value as well as a building avatar and aerial photos. This information can either be viewed on the dashboard or as an output on a clear BuildingReport (PDF) or Excel spreadsheet. In edit mode, additional information (including equipment details) can be viewed and edited if necessary.
