YAS.life: We change habits
Berlin-based YAS.life supports health and life insurances and corporates with digital prevention. The main product is the YAS App. Based on its gamification approach it motivates users to adopt preventive behavior like physical activity, mindfulness and medical screening with attractive rewards in the area of health.
YAS.life provides white-label versions of this app to its B2B customers, e.g. as a digital bonus program for health insurances. By that YAS.life accompanies them in the integration of healthy behavior in their daily life. In addition, YAS.life creates digital touchpoints to insured people.
At this point YAS.life concentrates on three different business areas:
- digitalization of bonus programs for public health insurances
- corporate health management for small and middle-sized companies
- white label solutions for private health insurances and life insurances
Apart of the YAS-app the startup has five other apps available for insurances or corporates.And three more apps for insurances are in development at the moment.
Working with several insurances. They also work with corporates as they use our app as a part of their Corporate Health Management like Versicherungskammer Bayern, mhplus Krankenkasse, BMW BKK, BIG Krankenkasse and others.
Yas.life has won the healthy hub, a competition, founded by 5 big insurances, with the intention to bring innovative digital health programs into the statutory health system. They are also nominated for Insury Startup Award / MOI 2019 Vienna & auxmoney Startup-Pitches 2019 “Diamond Star Award”.

Yas.life actually changes habits, a recent evaluation of their bonus program showed that 38% of the users actually changed their moving habits for the better.
With their bonus program they are replacing the old printed “Bonusheft” of insurances with a modern and fun digital approach.
How it works
Yas.life stands out by Simplicity of usability. Users simply sync their existing fitness app or tracker (Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, Jawbone…) with the YAS app, collect points and can redeem attractive rewards.

Who is YAS.life?
Yas.life is founded in 2016 by Dr. Magnus Kobel, CEO. The Berlin based startup has Deutsche Rück as lead investor and business angels. They target B2B business with focus on health insurance and life insurance in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
At YAS.life they think step by step. Gradually into a more active life. They are convinced that digitization will bring many new opportunities for more health. They want to open up these possibilities to the consumers – playfully, creatively, and independently.
