Executive Education Course: Next Level Insurance Innovation in the Age of Data
Digital Insurance Agenda (DIA) and the Institute of Insurance Economics (I.VW-HSG) at the University of St.Gallen announce the launch of their new online Executive Education Course “Next Level Insurance Innovation in the Age of Data”, which will start on September 28th, 2021.
The course is focused on senior insurance executives and will help them gain a deeper understanding of new opportunities for insurance innovation, fueled by new data streams, new technologies and advanced analytics. The course consists of 8 modules, combining the latest in academic foundational thinking with practical examples from insurtech leaders and insurance executives. Classes are online, 3 hours per week, conveniently scheduled at the end of the workday on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
“Next Level Insurance Innovation in the Age of Data” is a joint initiative of the University of St.Gallen’s Institute of Insurance Economics (I.VW-HSG), the world’s number 1 Business School in Insurance, and Digital Insurance Agenda (DIA), the leading global insurtech thought leadership platform.
Alexander Braun, Director at the University of St.Gallen’s Institute of Insurance Economics (I.VW-HSG) and Programme Director of the new course: “Data is the big Game Changer – it will be the driving force behind insurance innovation for the next decade. We all know this, but few people know how to turn this into new opportunities for insurance. Our institute and DIA both recognised this need for insurance carriers to identify and seize opportunities offered by new data streams and new analytics – and we decided to fill the gap and combine our strengths to develop this course together.”
Roger Peverelli, Co-Founder of Digital Insurance Agenda (DIA) and Programme Director of the new course says: “As DIA we’re thrilled to organise this course together with the academic authority in insurance, the University of St.Gallen’s Institute of Insurance Economics. DIA’s mission is to accelerate insurance innovation by connecting insurance executives with insurtechs through DIA’s multiple thought leadership platforms. Applying our expertise to executive education is a logical next step. At DIA we are always on the forefront of insurance innovation, spotting new insurtech solutions, often before they reach insurance. Bringing these examples and our unparalleled network to the course will inspire participants: they will learn from the leaders.”
“Next Level of Innovation in the Age of Data” will provide participants with a new type of online experience, focused on brief speaker presentations with lots of interaction. The course includes a range of real use cases from compelling speakers and companies, providing participants with the opportunity to engage directly with the presenters.
“We have included ample time for participants to connect with the presenters and discuss with their peers. And we have built in elements that make it very easy to interact with other participants, so you don’t have to miss out on building your network through this course.” says Christoph Peter, Director of Executive Education at the Institute of Insurance Economics (I.VW-HSG) at the University of St.Gallen.
